Mr & Mrs McVeigh: Corby Church Wedding in the Bluebells

What a way to kickstart 2022's wedding season!

I first heard from Carol and Garry after they were postponing their wedding for the 3rd time! Unfortunately, their original wedding photographer wasn't available on their newest date but it did mean I was then able to be on hand to capture their magical day as it unfolded.

Bridal prep took place at The Raven Hotel with 11 lovely ladies and 6 gorgeous flower girls all battling to get ready on time, but all things considered, it was a pretty calm morning!

The girls all looked amazing, their navy dresses sparkling in the spring sunshine. And Carol herself was definitely the star of the show. Her beautiful long-sleeved gown was just stunning, everything you'd want in a wedding dress!

I nipped out to photograph the groom and his crew getting ready mid-morning and oh my what a contrast! With breakfast and haircuts all packed into the morning, they weren't leaving much time spare to actually get themselves dressed :D ! After a few manic moments, I left them in the capable hands of the groom's mother and headed back over to the bridal party for the final preparations.

The day was perfect from start to finish. The church service held at St John the Baptist in the Old Village, was full of their nearest and dearest, and to step out from the church straight under a canopy of pink blossom and a carpet of bluebells made for some great photographs.

Thanks to the glorious sunshine, the kids absolutely loved playing out in the garden back at the Raven Hotel with most of them definitely up to no good! There was table hopping, chair tipping and who knows what else while the adults weren't looking!

And if I say one last things before you look through their photographs below, it's that if you're planning your own wedding, I highly recommend adding "The Music Man" to your playlist because it sure does make for some interesting dance floor moves!

Congratulations again on your wedding day. Here's to the new Mr & Mrs McVeigh!
