Mr & Mrs Barge: Best Western Rockingham Forest Wedding

On a loooovely sunny day, I packed up my car and drove the to the Best Western Rockingham Forest Hotel.

I met Michelle and Jay back in 2018 in a local Starbucks just outside of Corby. At most of my meetings with new couples we talk in detail about plans for the day, how I shoot and all the other nitty gritty bits that you'd want to know before asking someone to spend the best day of your life with you.

Not these two. It seems they'd pretty much made up their mind before I turned up so our chat turned out to be very chilled - and I should have realised at that point how relaxed this wedding was actually going to be!

Walking up to the hotel door, I wasn't 100% sure I'd got the room right as it all seemed very quiet. Luckily, I was greeted by the bridal party and found Michelle very calmly having her hair done, while the others pottered around. Considering there were three flower girls to organise, I was very impressed with the low stress levels.

With the sun shining down, Michelle and Jay were able to say their vows outdoors surrounded by friends and family. The setting was absolutely gorgeous and to say Jay got emotional when we saw his beautiful bride coming down the aisle would be an understatement. This guy is definitely in love.

The night ended on a high with the newly wedded couple sharing their first dance before the dance floor took off with all sorts of weird and wonderful moves. The dancing is always one of my favourite parts of the day, especially as the guests usually have no idea they're being captured on camera :D !

And to top of such a fantastic day, Michelle and Jay had organised a magician to keep the guests entertained. What a treat that was! If you're interested, check out his website: https://www.lewismagic.co.uk/

Congratulations again, Mr & Mrs Barge.
