Lauren & Luke: Normanton Church Wedding, Rutland Water
Lauren and Luke are one lucky couple!
Going back to pre-covid times (feels like forever ago), I met Lauren and Luke in a cosy coffee shop in Oundle to chat weddings. Little did we know, fast forward 18 months and we'd have been through 3 national lockdowns and a whole lot of self-isolating - not to mention both Lauren and I giving birth!
However, just a few weeks after the final lifting on wedding restrictions, Lauren and Luke tied the knot without having to make any changes to their day - unbelievable!
From start to finish, it was a beautiful day. Lauren and her bride tribe were getting ready at the stunning Barnsdale Lodge, while Luke and the boys relaxed with a pint or two at the White Horse in Empingham - photographed by John Storey.
Lauren looked absolutely stunning and there were a few tears shed, especially by dad!
The ceremony was held at the gorgeous Normanton Church, looking out over Rutland Water - a beautiful location and one that's been on my bucket list for years! (Thanks guys). Surrounded by loved ones, the nerves definitely kicked in for Luke and with a quick slip of the hand, the ring was dropped before making it onto Lauren's finger - oops! It'll be a story to tell though, don't worry...
Before the heavens opened, we managed some lovely shots around the church and then headed back to Barnsdale for a tasty hog roast and some good old fashioned dancing. Now there's something I've missed.
Thank you both again for asking me to be a part of your special day and I wish you all the best for the years to come.
